Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and staging incoming inspections. The Production Planner will ensure all aspects of the quote have been addressed, parts ordered, and the inspection process has been scripted. Once jobs are scheduled, the planner will prepare the work packages to hand off to the Lead Technician prior to aircraft arrival.
Duties & Responsibilities
Review quotes for accuracy, once the job has been placed on the schedule
Ensure the Salesman obtains a deposit from the customer
Prepare the work order
Order all parts, special tooling and schedule any NDT needed to complete the inspection
Develop the job workflow, “Scripting” and build the work pack for the inspection
Monitor and track all incoming parts for the inspection
Orchestrate the workflow to coincide with other production environments and efforts
Maintain a positive work environment by facilitating open communication with Western Aircraft Leadership, scheduling, technical staff, and the customer
Monitor projects - ensuring scripting goals are met on a regular basis, proactively plan and adjust scripting as necessary by working with the lead technicians
Upon job completion, review the completed work scope with the Lead Technician for overall job success
Qualification & Job Requirements
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years' experience in an Aviation oriented job
Ability to interpret and navigate Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, and technical directives
Education:
FCC license, FAA Repairman's Certificate or A&P Certificate preferred
Other Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled environment
Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise level; frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
Requires sitting 6-8 hours a day
Occasional lifting and carrying to 50 pounds.
Constantly requires clear vision to read printed materials and computer screen
Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
Constantly requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks
Constantly requires clarity of speech and hearing, which permits the employee to effectively communicate
