A commissioning representative shall validate that new equipment and systems are installed, tested, and working properly. A commissioning representative needs to have a thorough technical understanding of the equipment and systems.
Validation Duties:
• Review the technical documentation of client systems and machinery to understand their functions
• Collaborate with construction companies / GCs to ensure safety and quality regulations are being met
• Technical support & system installation verification on-site
• Visit remote vendor sites to monitor the testing of equipment
• Monitor equipment checks and system tests in the field to ensure correct operation
• Review test results and reports to confirm compliance with technical specifications
Experience:
• 5+ years experience in industrial construction, operations, and commissioning
• Knowledge of construction quality process, means, methods, and installation procedures
• Familiarity with sequence of operations, controls, and system integration
• Knowledge or ability to research codes, specs, and standards, and interpret requirements against installed product
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with industry standard software
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
