Job Title: Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our team on a long-term, permanent basis. This direct placement opportunity involves debugging electronics and printed circuit boards (PCBs), as well as testing and troubleshooting to identify and rectify defects.
Responsibilities

  • Debug electronic boards down to the component level.
  • Test and troubleshoot electronic boards to identify defects.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Use test equipment such as multimeters, frequency counters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers.
  • Identify and understand the function of various electrical components.
  • Hand solder through-hole and surface-mount technology (SMT) components, including sizes down to 0402.
  • Write test documents and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Essential Skills
  • Troubleshooting electronics and PCBs.
  • Debugging electronic boards to the component level.
  • Reading schematics.
  • Identifying electrical components and their functions.
  • Using Digital Multi Meters, frequency counters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers.
  • Functional and bench test experience.
  • Hand soldering of through-hole and SMT components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • At least a 2-year Associate's Degree, military experience, or equivalent electronics education preferred.
  • Over 5 years of printed circuit board debug experience to the component level.
  • Ability to debug RF circuitry.
  • Experience writing test documents and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is an electronic manufacturing setting that is very clean and orderly. Individuals are provided with their own personal workspace at separate work benches.
There are two shift options available: Monday to Wednesday from 6:00am to 6:00pm and a half day on Thursday, or Thursday half day and Friday to Sunday from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
