Job Overview
Under the direction of the Construction Superintendent, performs a wide range of carpentry tasks. Tasks include demolition, wood/metal wall framing, installation of sheetrock, floor cleaning, finishing of sheetrock, installation of commercial doors and hardware, sanding and painting of sheetrock walls, installation, painting and/or staining of millwork, installation of ceiling grid and tiles, and other general carpentry repair tasks.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Performs maintenance, repairs, renovations and new construction work on items such as foundations, concrete form work, interior walls, exterior walls, all types of exterior siding, all floor covering, sub-floors, catwalks, commercial doors/frames, windows, partitions, sheetrock hanging-finishing, painting, millwork installation, ceiling grid/tile installations and all other building components as necessary.
* Plans and lays out work from blueprints, drawings, models and verbal and written instructions.
Uses a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
* Plans, organizes work and meets all deadlines. Able to do a variety of tasks in any single day.
* Coordinates with other trade and project personnel in the identification of proper and correct materials, parts assemblies and requirements for a variety of requisitions necessary for the job/task.
* Uses a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
* Operates Government or company-owned motor vehicles and/or other equipment.
* Performs various lower classified duties such as (but not limited to) file maintenance, workspace cleanup, maintain space and telephone answering as required.
* Assists and supports other trade groups and/or department staff in daily operations.
* Adheres to the company safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
* Ability to complete tasks utilizing a written schedule.
* Ability to work alternate shifts as required.
* Performs a wide range of construction activities and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
* High school graduate or equivalent GED.
* A minimum of Five (5) years of experience in commercial carpentry trade performing tasks associated with job summary and duties.
* U.S. Citizenship.
* Ability to obtain and maintain the required level security required to gain base access.
* Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
* Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
