The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is seeking aDivision Administratorto provide high-level leadership for the Division of Welfare (Self-Reliance) located in downtown Boise. This position will serve as a member of the Department's executive leadership team, and will administer strategic direction, planning, and oversight for the division. Self-Reliance promotes stable, healthy families by helping Idahoans meet their basic needs and gain financial and health stability. Programs administered by the division include child support services, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), health coverage assistance programs, and employment and training programs, to name a few. We ensure customers receive streamlined, timely services and are educated to make decisions about services for their families. Self-Reliance strives to provide the best customer experience possible. This position will lead the development, prioritization, and implementation of program goals and objectives in alignment with the Department's mission, vision, and values. The Division Administrator will analyze program trends and outcomes, and provide consultation to the Deputy Director, Director, and the State's Executive and Legislative branches as necessary. We are searching for individuals with extensive leadership experience in a human or social services field. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's or master's degree in public administration, business, social/human services or similar field. + Experience (at least five years) in an executive leadership role and demonstrated leadership and supervision experience of professional staff. + Strong background, preferably in the public sector or highly regulated environments, in business process analysis, operational decision-making and communication with public, providers, legislators, administrators, community partners and others. + Experience managing compliance with federal and state laws pertaining to the delivery of human and social services.
