Authorization and Verification Rep at Trinity Health in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE: To be responsible for efficiently, accurately, and timely verification of insurance coverage and obtaining authorization for Outpatient Therapy services. Assists coordinator as needed with staff training. Serves as mentor and resource to staff within the company. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Basic computer skills with an emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, Therapy Source and Medical Manager, preferred. Must be able to utilize calculator, phones, fax machine and copier. Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills. Experience with EPIC preferred. Previous work experience in health care business office preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Meets medical center's Customer Services Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations. Analyzes accounts for accuracy. Accurately documents information from insurance companies/sureties for benefits and eligibility. Obtains authorization from insurance companies, documents results, and notifies appropriate staff. Answer incoming calls from customers/employees. Researches and resolves patient complaints and concerns. Follows up with insurance companies for problem resolution. Responsible for timely completion of eLearning as assigned by RMA and/or contracting hospitals.
