JOB SUMMARY
Utilize engineering blueprints and specifications to create plumbing and electrical subcomponents, perform interface plumbing and wiring, final assembly, and system integration. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately interpret engineering drawings and perform plumbing, wiring, and assembly to meet functionality and specification requirements.
Utilize a Personal Computer and shop floor control software to accurately track job labor and material usage.
Trouble-shoot components at start up and maintain a low failure rate.
Competently use measuring instruments and diagnostic devices and contribute to JST's quality program by following quality procedures.
Understand and follow company procedures and act in a safe manner in a manufacturing environment.
Maintain stewardship of equipment and contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the shop and equipment.
Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting departments.
Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Work cooperatively with team members and assist engineering with design for manufacturability.
Communicate design constraints and work within the team to achieve solutions.
Responsible for other duties and tasks as assigned and, in some circumstances, may be completely unrelated to this position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES
Able to read assembly blueprints as well as plumbing and electrical schematics.
Able to perform interface plumbing and wiring of components to meet specifications.
Perform sub-assembly of units and components including pumps, flowmeters, manifolds, etc.
Perform point to point and interface plumbing for systems integration.
Perform sub-assembly of boards and components including motors, pumps, drives, controllers, etc.
Perform point to point and interface wiring for systems integration.
Able to use process pipe welding equipment including, butt-fusion IR welder, socket welder, orbital welder.
Able to use hand and power tools.
Maintains a clean work area both inside and outside equipment.
Technical degree preferred or equivalent experience.
TRANSFERRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCES
Mechanical skills working on complex systems such as: automotive mechanics, HVAC systems, etc.
