Administrative Specialist II Full-Time Days (Boise) at Trinity Health in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: Saint Alphonsus Health System is hiring an Administrative Specialist II to support the fast-paced Sleep Laboratory Department. This role is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks including the management of external and internal referrals, insurance verification, assisting with wayfinding and scheduling patients for service delivery. In general, the role is heavily phone-based and supports locations throughout the region. Minimum Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + 5 years of relevant experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting. + Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred, but not required. + Requires intermediate computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office applications. What You Will Do: + Manages incoming/internal referrals and schedules patients accordingly for services within the department. + Composes, types and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required. + Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls and handles general inquiries. Uses independent judgment to determine priority and sensitivity of inquiries and responses. + Schedules / coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements. Maintains assigned calendar(s). + Establishes and maintains filing systems. Orders and stocks supplies. + Assists with special projects and interdepartmental needs when appropriate. + Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. + Requires demonstrated proficiency in multi-tasking, flexibility, time management, organization, attention to detail and professionalism. + Must be able to work equally well independently and in a team environment.
