UP Cooler Operator- Night Shift

Description:

Darigold is seeking to fill a UP Milk Cooler Operator position at our Boise facility. UP Milk Cooler Production workers must be motivated and desire to be members of a self-activating team that works safely and drives quality on the production line. The ideal candidates for this role excel in a fast paced, rigorous environment and thrive in a team-based work setting.

Schedule: 6pm-6:30am, Wed - Sat (every other Wed)

What You Will Do

•Palletizing of milk product; Hand stacking or line pull of product as required

•Printing and validating batch packets; operates scan gun and verifies that data and documentation are accurate reconciled, balanced, printed, collected, and passed on through appropriate channels

•Works in close collaboration with the filler operator

•Working in conjunction with the Supervisor and Filler Operator on shift will cross train on the UP filler processes and operations

•Tracks inventory of product packaged and packaging materials and pallets needed

•Pulls packaging materials for use

•Safely uses palletizer and shrink wrap machine

•Safely operate a forklift or powered pallet jack; loads product for transfer to Market Street Warehouse

•Performs CIP sanitation of the Cooler area; maintains organization of the work area; and performs ongoing cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks in compliance with good manufacturing and warehouse practices

•Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What You Bring:

•Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 55 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest level

•Must be able to push/pull stacks of product into position for handling

•Must be able to continuously stand, walk, flex, stretch, twist and move throughout the area for 8 to 12 hours

•Must be able to climb stairs

•Ability to organize and analyze process problems

•Must be able to train others in inventory and labelling processes;

•Must have basic arithmetic skills; able to read and understand instructions; and able to write legibly

Must be able to monitor and inspect inventory and reconcile receipt/distribution of product

•Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision

•Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Process
