The Opportunity:
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for maintaining required inventory levels ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; processes purchase orders; load outgoing freight; unload incoming freight; maintains records; and manages all returns. Position requires work inside as well as outside, including working in inclement weather.
Responsibilities:
- Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and effectively .
- Ensure customer orders are correct and assists customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintains a viable relationship with truck drivers and customers to ensure needs are always met .
- Safely lifts, pushes, pulls, and lowers up to 450 lbs. barrels of lubricants numerous times daily.
- Maintains quantities of bulk oil and notifying supervisor of any discrepancies.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent .
Requirements :
- Ability and willingness to use safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs .
- 2+ years' experience working in a warehouse environment .
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills .
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy .
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow .
- Must be able to obtain Forklift certification with 3 months .
- Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situation .
