Carry out the aims and objectives of the activity program as outlined by the Head Coach. Provide students a safe, positive experience and allow students the opportunity to develop their skills both mentally and physically.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assist the head coach with
    • Collecting all medical and parent consent forms
    • Issuing, collecting, cleaning and inventorying equipment and uniforms.
    • Supervising player's behavior and conduct in the locker room and on school buses.
    • Conducting safe and effective practices that emphasize team unity and the development of the basic fundamentals and skills of the activity.
  • Enforce and model professionalism, discipline and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Support and adhere to policies and rules established by the State Association, Board of Education, the school district and school.
  • Promote interest and enthusiasm for the activity program to students, staff, and parents.
  • Attend all activity meetings that are scheduled.
  • Be cooperative and loyal in working with the head coach.
  • Exhibit respect and dignity for all students and athletes at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge and ability to perform assigned coaching task.
  • Able to promote a positive athletic environment for both students and parents.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern verbal conversation and to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person;
  • Sufficient visual acuity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to comprehend written work and assessments, prepare and review documents, and organize documents and materials;
  • Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm motions and to operate a computer and office equipment;
  • Sufficient personal mobility, flexibility, and balance, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to work in an office environment, lifting or moving objects that weigh up to 20 lbs.;

  • Must have a valid Idaho Driver's License and a vehicle to drive and/or must provide own transportation for job related activities.
