The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain all plant equipment. As a member of the Idaho team the Maintenance Mechanic will be a partner in the Operations Division. The Maintenance Mechanic's role is to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.Schedule: 6pm-6:30am, Wed - Sat (every other Wed)What You Will Do•Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions•Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance•Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.•Proficient in process instrumentation including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and calibration•Read, understand and troubleshoot using electrical schematics•General electrical troubleshooting of 24v, 110v, 220v and 480v systems•Understand the theory behind process flowWhat You Bring:•Highly proficient and experienced in troubleshooting, PLC s, electrical controls, instrumentation•Knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical machinery, steam, boiler, pneumatic & hydraulic operations•Read/understand blueprints, electrical schematics and equipment manuals•Strong team, verbal, and written skills•Must be available ALL DAYS, ALL SHIFTS•Sanitary welding experience required•Boiler and/or Refrigeration experience preferredNice to Have's•Min. 3 yrs. exp. in mechanical/electrical maintenance, or instrumentation certificate•Food background preferred, specifically dairy•Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics), within consumer products.Benefits of Working at DarigoldWe understand that as an employee, benefits that support you and your family in and out of work are important.
