What you will be doing

As a Store Planner, you will collaborate with Division and Corporate Leadership teams to create innovative store layouts for national/division programs, remodel projects, and new stores that will be implemented by Architectural and Construction Teams. You will work at the corporate office and oversee a market area or specific corporate projects, such as Fuel Centers, Starbucks, etc...

The Store Planner is responsible for creating and designing store plans that optimize the customer and associate experience that generate the best return. You will have the chance to collaborate with leaders from different departments and levels of the company. You should have strong organizational skills, presentation skills and a willingness to learn from feedback. This is a great opportunity to apply your creativity and analytical thinking to improve the customer and associate experience.

The position will be based in Boise, ID.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop creative design solutions for department space planning, store interior layouts for new and operating stores that enhance the customer and associate experience
  • Bring new thinking and design ideas to the business
  • Support Store Planning Manager with developing store plans for Division and/or Corporate Projects from concept to final plan for small projects, remodels and new stores
  • Survey operating store conditions and layouts with Division Leadership in developing project scope, capturing existing conditions, and developing concept plans
  • Create creative cost-effective solutions for design challenges that meet the needs of the business while still enhancing the customer and associate experience
  • Support Store Planning Manager on mass project rollouts in providing design, plans for specified projects and facilitating plan review with business owners - Starbuck's, Fuel Centers, Etc...
  • Present projects and design ideas to Leadership
  • Demonstrated skill in handling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experienced in prioritizing and organizing work efficiently
  • Adapt to changing demands and expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate, communicate effectively, and make decisions on design issues with Development Manager, Real Estate, Construction, Architects, and Consultants

What we are searching for
  • Bachelor's in Interior Design, Architecture or other equivalent design degree
  • At least one year of experience in architectural store design and planning, or entry level with relevant skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT or similar software
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively
  • Position requires travel of 10% to 20% away from the office
