Personal Care is non-skilled care. These services are generally non-medical related personal care services provided by unlicensed caregivers or CNAs. They are designed to help someone who experiences limitations in performing daily activities. These services are provided by a personal care attendant or a caregiver.
Services may include:
Personal Care Assistance Anything done for a client that is of a personal nature. This may include personal hygiene like bathing, showering, hair washing, shaving, oral hygiene and nail care.
Homemaking Services meal preparation, feeding, cleaning dishes
Light Chores cleaning floors, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, making a bed, laundry
Respite Care staying with the client so a caregiver can run an errand or just have a break
Case Management help with money management, coordinate scheduled appointments, etc.
Companionship Sitting with the client, reading to them, writing a letter for them, etc.
Escort Accompany the client to an appointment, including transporting them to the appointment.
