The Warehouse Food Hall is a place that takes pride in craftsmanship. With over 29,000 square feet, The Warehouse will feature the best-of-the-best independently owned businesses and local favorites. This hub of Boises finest will be an extension of the 8th Street dining district with space for 20+ food and retail vendors. Well connect The Warehouses vendors with the citys residents and visitors while becoming a part of the culinary and social fabric of Boise.

**WHO YOU ARE**

The Assistant General Manager oversees and coordinates the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in guest service and satisfaction, cleanliness & sanitation as well as tenant relations.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

* Understand, believe and carry out the Geronimo Hospitality Groups manifesto

* Assist with hiring, firing, discipline, ordering, scheduling, payroll, and other managerial duties as assigned

* Have complete knowledge and understanding of food hall tenant directory, parking and surrounding businesses

* Assist in facilitating associate orientation

* Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs

* Ensure that all guests feel welcome and the food hall is clean and sanitized at all times

* Ensure that all associates are providing service according to Geronimo Hospitality Groups expectations

* Achieve food hall standards in service, appearance of facility including sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.

* Assist in managing the food hall during events

* Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations

* Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development

* Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner

* Ensure that all public, dock, storage and bathrooms are kept clean

* Work with engineering to ensure all owned equipment is in excellent working condition through tenant relations and following the food halls preventative maintenance programs

* Ensure that all products are received & deliveries are performed in accordance with the food halls receiving policies and procedures

* Oversee and ensure that policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis

* Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met

* Be knowledgeable of food halls policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures

* Be knowledgeable of tenant polices and address any violations/concerns with GM

* Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.

* Provide advice and suggestions to General Manager as needed

* All other duties as assigned

Requirements **WHAT WE NEED (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)**

**Education** High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years experience in front-of-house or back-of house operations

**Experience and/or Training**

* High level of professionalism.

* Knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least 3 years of front-of-house/back-of-house operations and/or assistant management positions.

* Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a POS system.

**Licenses/Certificates**

* Operators License

* Food Manager Certification

**PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position may require occasional lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds.

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**

This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
