PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to support the administration of district and/or state assessments to target the academic needs of students and determine program effectiveness.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will proctor/facilitate district and/or state assessments to students in grades K-12. The work is temporary during various testing windows throughout the school year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Proctor/Assess students in one-on-one, small group, or whole group settings as designated by the building or district testing coordinator;
  • Follow standardized testing protocols;
  • Follow directions from testing coordinators and building administrators;
  • Work positively and professionally with students and staff;
  • Maintain integrity and security of assessments;
  • Maintain student, school, and parental confidentiality;
  • Effectively communicate and solve problems;
  • Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with District policies, procedures, and safety practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum GED or High School diploma
  • Possess competence, empathy, and understanding with regard to the needs and cultures of students;
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and observe district policies and procedures;
  • Operate classroom instructional equipment, standard office equipment, and a personal computer using programs appropriate to assigned duties;

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and on the telephone;
  • Sufficient visual acuity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to comprehend written work instructions and review, evaluate and prepare a variety of written documents;
  • Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to operate standard office equipment and a personal computer;
  • Sufficient personal mobility, flexibility, and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to lift up to 20 pounds, to sit and work at a keyboard for an extended period of time, and work in an office environment.
